The Junior Women’s Club is THRILLED to announce their strategic partnership with Cardinal Shehan Center in Bridgeport Connecticut as their charitable
partner with for the coming year.  JWC Fairfield will begin working with young women from the Cardinal Shehan Center ages 8-14 in helping to mentor and direct the young women leaders of tomorrow! Our members will be visiting with the girls on site as well as having them attend workshops off site;  focusing on topics that pertain to all young women, like How to Dress for Success in school, the workplace and socially in public, offering tutorials on  appropriate make-up application/hair styling ,  guiding skills such as resume writing, job interviews, college prep/college application,  and covering difficult but necessary topics such as sexual harassment at school/in the workplace. The members will also make an effort to encourage young women to learn how to cook healthy foods and understand proper nutrition- all important aspects of growing into healthy women to better serve our community! In addition to our mentoring and hands-on partnership, JWC Girls Zone at Cardinal Shehan Center will also  receive the majority of proceeds from the 2013 Santa’s House event.
