JWC Scholarship Program

Dozens of young women have benefited from the Junior Women’s Club of
Fairfield’s scholarship program, to be funded this year by a
Touch-A-Truck
event scheduled for Sunday, September 19 at Fairfield Ludlowe High School.

The JWC has awarded $75,000 in scholarship monies since 1992, including
$7,000 in 2010 to six outstanding scholars. To qualify, students must have a
GPA of 3.6 or higher, demonstrated financial need and a

record of community service.

Below are
the recipients of this year’s program.

Meghan West of Fairfield Warde High School.  
She will attend Boston University to pursue a degree in
psychology and pre-med.


Gina Treglia of Fairfield Warde High School.
She plans to study marketing at Stonehill College.


Lauren Peters of Fairfield Warde High School.  
She will study Business and Information Science at Syracuse University.


Lindsey Sullivan of Fairfield Ludlowe High School.  
She plans to study Communication Arts at Marymount Manhattan College,
with a minor in Journalism.


Amina Seyal of Fairfield Ludlowe High School.
She will attend Fairfield University.


Paula Restrepo of Fairfield Ludlowe High School.  
She will attend Miami University.
